UGS 302 vs. UGS 303

Okay, so I was looking through the course instructor surveys posted on the UT website ( https://diia.webhost.utexas.edu/cis/results/index.cfm ). It seemed like most of the UGS 302's generally had ~15 people in it (give or take 5 or so) while the UGS 303's usually had 80+.

For some reason I thought the UGS 302s' course descriptions "Designed to accommodate 35 or fewer students" implied that most classes had ~30 people (since nearly all of them are full). I'm okay with seminar classes in bigger groups of 25+ (like in most of my HS English classes) but I find smaller ones get kind of weird for me and sometimes I feel that I have to carry the discussion when there's an awkwardly long period of silence.

Have any of ya'll had experience in this?

If you dont want to have to carry a discussion all the time then probably take ugs 303. I took 303 instead or 302 bc at my orientation we were told that 302 was more writing based so i stuck to 303. My class was pretty big and if you wanted to talk during class you could but no one felt pressure that they had to speak up since the class was big. We only had 2 tests and an 8 page paper… my roomate was in a 302 class and had a paper every week and i believe was also graded on how much they spoke… it might just depend on the class and teacher though
