UGS course

Does anyone know an interesting yet relatively easy UGS course to take???

302s involve a lot of writing, 303s involve a lot of reading. All of them are Easy to make As in however, so just pick whichever one seems most interesting to you. If you’re worried, look up the professor ratings on Myedu and check out some reviews to see if the professor sounds like he or she would appeal to you.

do not take global inequalities and health! hard!

do not take the maya…sooo boorring

hi sarah kim :D

thanks for the suggestions :D

I’m currently in UGS303 - Journalism and/in Democracy, and it’s pretty interesting. The first test was ridiculously easy, too.

^ With Robert Jensen? If so, count yourself lucky because that’s a class that fills up in seconds and is the easiest A your’re ever gonna’ make at UT.

what is that class about???

Here’s the registrar’s description: “Examination of three crucial aspects of journalism (institutional structure, professional practices, and ideological assumptions) and evaluation of some of the problems and promise of journalism in the United States today.”

Like another poster said, it’s a very easy class. For instance - our first test was over an assigned book, but I could have easily gotten an A without having ever read it. Most of the questions were just common sense, if you had a relative familiarity with democracy/journalism.
