uh oh..important for NY residents

I was just reading some info on cornell's webpage and i came across a section that read " reccomended preparation", and under it, it said " regents examination results". Does that mean that some colleges take the regents into consideration?!?!? At my school, no one really takes the regents seriously...basically like as long as we pass..its okay. Was I totally misinformed all these years? and can this really hurt my chances?

I'm not quite sure about that. But I always try my best on all of my regents.

well i would think that cornell does care if it says that...but as far as i knew only suny schools cared

Somone needs to directly contact an admin rep and have them answer the question. Everyone I've ever asked about this subject gives me indirect, confusing answers. How do I contact them?

I would really like to get a definite answer because I havent done that stellar and i dont want that to hold me back...ive gotten mostly 80s and a few 90s...but a 79 on the math B :-/

What is regents?

Good thing my school is exempt from Regents :)

Not that regents are difficult. AT ALL.

If you deserved to go to Cornell, your regents grades wouldn't even be a consideration because the regents are so easy.
