Uh-Oh, Senior Year Sem1 Grades... HELP!!

So here are my grades across HS basically:

9: All As, but whatever

10: Uh-oh. First semester got Bs in H Precalc, H Chem, and AP Euro. Second semester got Bs in all of those again as well as in Spanish II.

11: First semester Bs in APUSH and regular physics, Second semester just a B in AP Stats.

Now, finals are this week and I'm looking at a best case scenario of Bs in AP Calc BC and H Anatomy/Physiology, and a worst case scenario of Bs in those two as well as in AP Comp Sci and AP Psych. So 2-4 Bs, all in weighted classes.

I'm applying to UCLA, UCSD, UCB and a bunch of other colleges like Cornell, Columbia, HMC, BU, CMU, WUSTL, UMich, and Yale with a Biology or Neuroscience major.

I have pretty good ECs (dance, boy scouts, 300+ volunteer hours, debate, etc.), a job at Kumon, decent essays and teacher recs, 4s and 5s on all AP tests, 760 math II and 790 bio & ush, and a 2240 SAT as well as a 35 ACT.

So how bad could this be? =(

Any reason you got the Bs? If you can explain in your app…it might help

Mostly just stress from college applications and premature senioritis… and all my apps have already been submitted.

I hope you have an admission safety as well. Premature senioritis as a sophomore?

my sophomore year grades werent out of laziness… i just found the adjustment from frosh to soph year very difficult academically and im not exactly the greatest student
could i get some on-topic input though

People say Junior year is the hardest, but I think that Sophomore year for students who are a bit farther along than other students can be that hard. I got a few 100’s Junior year, but none Sophomore year.

2-4 B’s for a few semesters shouldn’t hurt too much with other great stats and such.

I believe I did answer you. Your list of schools is very competitive and your grades are not up to the level of your standardized tests. I hope you have a safety you are willing to attend.

Why do you ask people here? Do you have Naviance? It’s far more accurate. Nobody knows the grading standards at your school.

You have amazing test scores. You should have heard from some schools already. Did you do EA at Michigan? BU should be a safety, I’d like to see one more.

BU is only a safety if the OP can afford the school, too.

That’s true.

It’s January 21st…

yeah my school uses naviance, but the only info there is regarding the average scores and gpas for each school im applying to.

i didn’t apply early anywhere, and the only school i’ve heard from already was uop, but thats a safety.

are you sure they don’t have scattergrams on your Naviance?

they have scattergrams but every one besides the ucs just says not enough information to generate graph. i got a pretty new school, mine is only the third or so graduating class so far.

So you have a safety, the rest is out of your control, and nobody knows which schools you’ll be admitted to. Why are you posting? How can we help? How bad can it be? You could be attending UOP.
