My umich GPA is 3.95, and I feel that I'm definitely gonna get in.

So, how low will my gpa have to be for umich to rescind my admission? I heard there is always one kid at my school who gets rescinded.
The reason I ask is because I have this stupid cut and paste project in English that I really don't want to do. :P

If your senior GPA drops significantly (like under 3.3) you will probably have to explain what happended. If it drops below 3.0, there is a good chance you could be put on probation when you get to Michigan (that stays in your permanent record). You would really have to screw the pooch (like a sub 2.7 GPA with a couple of Ds in major subjects, such as English or Math) to get rescinded. My advice is to wait until June to get senioritis. Definitely don't get it now. Should your application be deferred, they will ask for your first semester grades.

I don't even call that senioritis, just, "this-is-a-dumb-assignment-itis". I've experienced plenty of cases of it, before I was a senior, and still after I'm a senior.

ok look
just don't get FOUR Cs. OR don't get ONE D or F.
and you'll be good. if you happen to get the above, don't panic as long as you have a reasonable explanation to tell them why it happened.

My project is to make some stupid poster. Screw that. I mean, any other year I'd do it, but considering the situation, it's just too much effort for nothing. I'm good with settling with a nice solid B in english. I'm not gonna go so far as to get a C in any class.

Senioritis will come back to you throughout your life. You might find that you really don't care when you are a senior in college, writing up your thesis in grad school, in the last month of a job etc. Get used to this and try to do something about it now, it doesn't end just because you graduate high school.

^ yeah, i'll probably experience senioritis at some point (i've had a couple waves of it so far), but i'm not going to let it taint my all-A record.. or do anything to harm my academic in any way
