When I login to Cornell's commonapp decisions checking thing, it says Submission Status: Not Submitted...should I be worried? :o

I don’t know, but mine says submitted: Submitted Date: 1/1/2009 E.S.T.

Good luck!

Im sorry but LOL.
That’s terrible. i would call ASAP as that (presumably) means they dont have your application.
WOAH NELLY

But they sent me emails saying my decision would be available at 5:00…and commonapp says they downloaded my app…

call them! NOW!!

Call. They close at 4 or 5.
CALL

You can’t call! I did, they said all Ivy Admissions offices are closed thru Friday

what??? why?? are they on some sort of a break?

^ I feel for you =(. Well , I guess you will know in 1:05. Good luck!

@ wis3ly,
probably because decisions release this week and they didn’t want to be bombarded with phone calls.

The machine said there was some agreement among Ivies to close all offices today til Friday.

I called Brown today to get my username/password and someone answered and gave it to me, so not all departments of Ivy admission are closed.

After decisions are given, the ivies go into what’s known as the “ivy moratorium” (sp?) where adcoms and offices will not respond to any calls or e-mails. Just another way ivies try to make themselves sound cool

There is an “ivy moratorium” until April 2nd: no ivy admissions officer may speak to students – whether they have been admitted, rejected, waitlisted, etc. This is an agreement amongst the ivy leagues. There should still be a staff member(admin. asst. or secretary) who can help you…did you call the admissions office of the college you applied to?

okay I called CAS and they said my decisions should still be up at 5. Phew.
