uh said the man to the lady

I love that song "Hey" by the Pixies for some strange reason. I miss the old Green Day. And I've been losing confidence in myself and interest in school. I feel like I have to go out and start a band, hang out at an arcade, or do SOMETHING ELSE NEW, and live a little. What are your thoughts?

Something new is good, but it won't bring back the old Green Day (I like new Green Day).

Go minigolfing!

I love "Kiss Me" by Sixpence...

i know it is an old song, but i heard it on "She's all That" the other day, and i was flooded with nostalgia.

^Gah, I LOVE that song! It gives me nostalgia too. hehe

um...honestly...if you're listening to the pixies over greenday...that's a GOOD thing.

it's always good to try new things. you normally get tired of them and go back to what you were doing. monotony is no fun.

So can anyone suggest new things I can try? Well you probably don't know which stuff I've already done, but include it anyways, maybe I want to do it again. It doesn't have to be something completely radical, like skydiving.. Thanks.

i love old school green day. and new school. all the schools. green day is awesome.

Pixies are good. Listening to Surfer Rosa right now. :]

Let's see..john melloncamp, taco, acdc, bill idol, bananarama, train, everlast, etc i have pretty wide tastes here.

I ride horses. that's something to try.

music wise? oh...so much. pavement is a good move from the pixies (if not already done so).

Green Day is awesome. New, old. It's all good.

All American Rejects' first CD was better than their second.

Start some kind of donation drive. Helps people, keeps you busy, and looks nice on the college apps.

Or just go to the mall.

go to a concert. they're so much fun

I can't say I'm a greenday fan. I actually can't even say I like their music. Sorry. :(

Concerts are fun - as is the mall. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere and you a) have no mall or b) mall contains 5 stores.

Don't lose confidence in yourself, Kate. :) From what I've picked up here and there on CC you're very intelligent and have the grades to back it up.

Things should improve dramatically for you once you get a car (if you already have one, I'm an ass so just stop reading). It gives you so much more freedom, plus when you're frustrated, you can go for a looong drive. (Or I can, anyway, because I live in the middle of the rural capital of the world.)

So go car shopping. <g></g>

Yes!! i love to go for long drives on roads I don't know and see where they end up. im in a decently rural area, but close enough to lots of places. it may waste gas/give mileage thats not necessary, but I love getting lost and trying to find ways home lol

I know where everything is...haha, I still like going for long drives though. Especially on long "country"ish roads where you can see the city lights on the distant hills and such...and the stars are out and you've just got some nice music going...sigh

I'm one of those people who were born to drive, no matter where. Sometimes I think the main reason I want to go to Brown is so I can drive the 12+ hours home every so often! :D

I have no use for driving right now (and probably won't for five years or more)-I can bike 50 miles, which is the maximum distance anyone needs to go around here.

Aw thank you austinj, that made me feel better. :)

haha, I love driving too - as long as I have good music. The thing is, I like to just stay at my speed - I don't like stopping, haha. Highway driving can be fun, as long as it's not stop-go (drives me CRAZY!!) and it's not pouring whilst doing so...at night. That's no fun, especially if you're stuck behind someone or trying to pass and semi...
