So I was listening to one of 4 good radio stations they have here, and then they had an ad, so I changed it to the classic rock station and they were playing "SHINE" by COLLECTIVE SOUL (???)

How old am I??? Will Nickelback soon be classic rock????? :O

No, because they only play respectable bands from their time periods, which would exclude Nickelback. Ok, maybe not since they still play crap like Journey and Foreigner, but most classic rock music is music that’s respected. I hate classic rock stations anyways.

“Classic rock” is an incredibly vague term. Led Zeppelin and Genesis are both considered by many to be classic rock, while Zeppelin is heavy metal/blues and Genesis is progressive rock.

You know what makes me REALLY sad? People think that Green Day is a hot new band. No, they peaked in the 90s, idiots.

Anyway, it’s a new decade. Generally they consider anything from two decades past to be “classic” (in the 90s, it was the 70s and before; in the 00s it was the 80s and before; and now its the 90s… scary isn’t it?).

Most people I talk to talk about how glorious “Dookie” was and how everything after sucked, so not sure where you’re coming from. What is so wrong with liking BOTH era’s of Green Day?!?!?! They’re both decent.

^ Nah, this new political stuff isn’t that good. Go talk to people in high school, most of them know “American Idiot” as the start of Green Day.

Who do you think I talked to to find out that everyone was praising “Dookie”? Dookie is not some underground, cult album if you think it is. It was hugely popular when it came out, and still is. And there’s nothing wrong with American Idiot or 21st Century Breakdown
