UIUC Chance?

Hey, I’d love to attend UIUC. My proof readers liked my essay, I have a 3.6/4 GPA, a 30 act, I’m captain of the varsity basketball team, yearbook editor, and various community service activities as well as quite a few clubs that ive been with for years. I am also an Illinois state scholar. Chance me please?? I’m really anxious about this be honest

Oh also 7ap classes total, euro, ush, Lang, lit, macro, calc, and bio

No problem getting in unless you are engineer. You are a shoe in for LAS. My D attends and my other D is applying. My D had a 30 ACT and 3.5 UW GPA, she is in LAS and actually was able to transfer to engineering, she had a 4.0 in LAS and transferred to Chemical Engineering. My second D has a 3.7 and 29 ACT, sucks that they no longer have early decisions. OH, my D in LAS that transferred to engineering had 0 AP classes, only honor and double honor.

UIUC non-engineering: Low match
UIUC engineering: High match

Yeah I’m applying as an English major and my state scholar recognition came in after I submitted the app, soooooo any changes to your answers?

If you’re applying english, im saying in for sure- at the very least accepted off of wait list but that’s highly unlikely

@glasssculpture‌, ChemE at UIUC is actually in LAS and declaring for it just requires hitting a certain GPA.

Transferring in to a major in the College of Engineering is more uncertain/harder.

And to the OP: Being in-state and applying for English, I’d be shocked if you didn’t get in.

No, you actually need permission from the engineering department to change. She now is looking into another type of engineering but when she transferred she had to get permission from the engineering department. Even though chemical engineering is in LAS, you need to go through the engineering department.

You are in! dont worry
