Hi, I was just wondering what my chances would be for UIUC and if it would be considered a match or a reach for me. I am going to be applying in LAS and I currently go to a fairly competitive suburban Chicago school.

Stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.4
Weighted GPA: 3.8
ACT: 31
Class Rank: Top 15%
The AP Classes/Tests that I have taken are US History (4), US Government, Macroeconomics, Latin Literature, English Language, Human Geography, and I will be taking Calculus AB and Chemistry next year.
My main EC's are Varsity Basketball and Mathletes. I am also in a couple other honorary societies. Thanks.

You’ll probably get in. UIUC is selective, but your record seems to be good enough. They probably see tons of students though with AP classes and extra things. The best of the best typically go there, but you have a good ACT and class rank. Good luck.

Since your in state I think your chances of admission are good considering your 31 on ACT, course load, and a competitive high school within Chicago. If you will not need FASA then applying as ED or EA will also be a big help.
