Hello, I got a 26 on the act and have a 3.8 gpa. I am in the top 10 percent of my class and my classes show rigor (Honors and AP classes). I am currently stressing out about getting admitted into the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I applied to the LAS College (Bio or Chem Major). I would just like to know about my chances of being admitted into UIUC. I know my act is low but I am a good student, just not a good test taker. Thank you for your time.

are you an in-state applicant? if so, your chances should be pretty good. if not, you better have made yourself shine! lol.

yeah, I’m instate. I’m just freaking out about not being admitted haha

of course there is a chance of rejection–as for any applicant to any college. but i think you are fine. just remember it is not the end of the world if you are rejected. (:

Thanks much. Yeah I guess you are right. It’s not the end of the world if I am rejected.

UIUC: Match

I got in with a higher ACT but way lower grades/class rank than you. As long as you took the essays seriously, I would say you’re in! Good luck!

yeah I may have rushed one of the essays but I took them seriously. crossing my fingers

Oh and I applied regular decision instead of priority. So would that affect my chances by much?

Did you get in? @ILLINIWEK3
