UIUC Chemical Engineering vs UBC Applied Science SUGGESTIONS PLS

Hi,
I am a student from Shanghai that holds a Canadian passport. I’ve been admitted to both UIUC Chemical Engineering and UBC’s Applied Science Program.

I am really struggling between the two. UIUC definitely has a strong reputation for Engineering in the states or even across the world, and it is also way more competitive compared to UBC’s engineering when it comes to admissions. However, UIUC’s chemical engineering isnt in LAS, so that’s kinda weird, but i heard it has the resource of both LAS and Engineering.

But I am also inclined to UBC due to its amazing environment (UIUC isnt that good in terms of environment), way cheaper tuition fee and also that I have relatives and also a good friend attending as well that also will be taking applied science.

Therefore, I am really struggling. I don’t know which school will help give me the best job opportunities once I graduate…
Please give some suggestions  Thanks !!!
