UIUC Industrial Engineering undergrad job recruitment

I was wondering what companies recruit from UIUC industrial engineering. Also, what type of companies ie) consulting, i banking, manufacturing companies

I also want to compare it to the UMICH industrial engineering since I know that UMICH industrial engineering undergrad gets recruited from many top companies such as Boston consulting, Deloitte, Accenture, Booz Allen, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Barclays etc.

I want to go into industrial engineering and eventually consulting or investment banking and I want to know which will give me the best offers

I know that Umich generally has better offers but I am an illinois resident and i know it is much harder to get into UMICH engineering out of state. I also like the UIUC industrial engineering track a little more because we get to choose a focus such as economics and finance which is what I am interested in.

Also, how much difference does it make that Umich is ranked #2 in industrial engineering whereas UIUC is ranked #15 in it.

How much difference in job offers is there between the two schools

Also, do you know of any other schools with industrial engineering that offers a similar education, big school, and great or better job offers. Thank you very much!

I’m currently a student at UIUC Industrial Engineering. I’m a sophomore and I’m concentrating in Econ/Finance with very similar aspirations. When it comes to recruiting for top consulting firms, UIUC is definitely getting stronger. It’s extremely difficult to get into companies like Goldman, Mckinsey, and Bain, but a couple students from UIUC do every year so it is feasible. The other big consulting firms PWC, Deloitte, etc. are all well within reach and recruit at UofI. I can’t really speak about UofI, but Illinois does offer these type of jobs to Engineers; you just have to go to the Business career fairs.

If you need any specific questions answered, feel free to message me.

I was wondering what ACT scores and GPA is needed for industrial engineering at UIUC. I know it is top notch but I just would like to see where I fit in.

Also, can you tell me the types of jobs most of the undergrad graduates get after UIUC industrial engineering degree. For instance, what companies and what job positions.

Is it true that the jobs you get from UIUC are mostly in Chicago or are they all over the country such as New York, Boston, and San Francisco etc.?

Thank you for your help
