UIUC meal plan 5 day week or 7 day week?

Are the meal plans for 5 day weeks or 7 day weeks? I'm thinking they're for 7 day weeks because you have to eat every day, but every meal plan doesn't seem to give out enough classics/credits.

12 classics/1500 credits=12 buffets, and 15 dollars for food. If you eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day (which you should) then that equals 21 meals a week. 21-12=9 meals. $15 for 9 meals is not possible.

10 classics/4500 credits=10 buffets, and $45. 21-10=11. So you have $45 for 11 meals. 45/11=$4.09 for each meal. I still don't think that's enough.

How does this work?

ignore teh $ value. don't calculate it out. just put it this way. how many times do you eat everyday? would you really be willing to eat 3x a day every day. also sat and sunday, there is no breakfast only brunch and dinner so technically there are only 20 possible meal options. generally just pick the 12 meals 1500 credit option for the first few weeks and if you don't think its enough than you can change it to a higher one or vice versa. everyones different but generally the 12 meal and 1500 credit one is what most people pick.
but heck if money isn't an issue pick the one with the most cafe credits

if you eat in the dining hall 21 times a week you will kill yourself.

typically, most students dont go to breakfast. if you want a light breakfast, just pocket some cookies or bananas or something from dinner, you're allowed to take one item anyways.

just get the 12 meal 1500 credit option.

also, its kinda hard to judge during the first couple weeks of school for what the rest of the year is like. i remember when i first got here and i had the 12 meal plan, it was rush so i ate tons of hamburgers, subs, etc. at the frats and i think the second week of school I had 5 leftover meals out of my 12.
