UIUC to UChicago

high school:
3.4 weighted, many APs
cross-country/track 4 years (some other ECs)
34 act
held an anti-work sentiment in HS :)

college:
3.9 (now a sophomore)
English/Psych(?) major
james scholar (honors program)
prelaw club
speech and debate team
model united nations, but quit b/c it sucked.
intramural soccer
member of an improv comedy group if i make the tryout :O
some other randy clubs (randy is counter-strike for random)

I'm not applying to other schools than UofC. Also, writing's a strong point for me. I got reject'd from UofC in hs, and wrote a crap essay then. If more information is needed, lemme know

I guess you mean chances for both?

UIUC should be definite. UChicago is very doable - your ACT is amazing, as is your GPA. Very similar to me stats wise, so good luck!

no, I'm at UIUC and i want to go to UofC - kinda the perfect school for me. also please note that i have no real leadership positions in the ECs listed, and some of them i joined this semester. i'm just worried i might be stuck at this school :|

ahh well you do have a good shot at UChi. A lack of good ECs will hurt you slightly, but I personally think ECs are a bit overrated. At Chicago, the most important factors will be academic performance and essays.

bump...any other opinions?
