I’m currently a sophomore (junior standing if you look at credit hours) at UIC, but I’ve applied to transfer to UIUC for the FA’19 semester. I was rejected the first time by UIUC going in as a freshman and that rly screwed things up for me along with a pretty trash roommate and some health complications. Needless to say my GPA suffered quite a bit and I finished my first semester with a 2.06.
I’ve managed to get it up to a 2.67, but I’ll be going in with 80+ credit hours. Ik my chances are extremely slim, but I’m hoping bc I have a legacy and I am close to finishing my total hours, that they’ll let me in. I’ve mentioned my struggles in my essay and I’ve overall had an upward trend in my GPA. My main question is does anyone know my chances of being accepted? And if I file an admission appeal if I’m denied, could I have them reconsider with my spring grades?
