UIUC, UW, Penn State UP - International

Hey guys. I'm an international applying for fall 2012 (RD)

I'm looking forward to majoring International Relations and continuing my study in graduate school. (In fact for the undergrad, it's not a Must because I can major in any social sciences major and then apply for IR graduate school)

So these are three of the final lineup of my colleges of choice (considering major, tuition, atmosphere, etc.) and I think I'm on the right track so far.

My SAT is 2110 and I have a 4.7 GPA on the 5 scale (weighted).

But since I'm an international and relatively not familiar with lots of stuff, I'm asking for your opinions. Am I on the right track? Or do you suggest I apply for other colleges than these three?

Where are you from? How much can you spend?

I’m from Korea and I can spend up to 30K. I forgot to mention it but I’m applying for FA too.

Which UW–Seattle of Madison? Either would be better than the other two.

UW=Washington Seattle. I know this is a bit off topic but which one of two is more selective? Madison or Seattle?

I think you are barking to the wrong tree, none of American Public Universities gives much FA to internationals, try some private schools. With SAT at 2100, you will not be able to goto Tier 1 schools with FA, so start with Tier II, its safer. You can try a few tipy top schools, but don’t count on it.

Madison…By a little
