UIUC vs Purdue vs Georgia Tech:Mechanical

Hi There

I am an international student(from India) and am interested in mechanical engineering have applied to
UIUC(alternate admission)
Purdue(admitted)
GeorgiaTech(waiting for 18 March)

I have some doubts and would appreciate any help that i can get...
1. which of the above is the best for engineering(especially Mechanical and Electronics)?
2. is it advisable to take alternate admission and what are the chances of getting mechanical(my preferred stream) later?
3.am unsure about what i would do after graduating( take up a job or pursue higher studies) keeping this in mind which of the three should i choose??

other major concerns would be
environment both campus and weather(living in India i think i can handle heat better than cold)
prestige(UIUC seems to have an edge here)
ranking(all three seem to have almost similar rankings though purdue appears to be a bit below)
cost!!!

Would really appreciate your help
Thanx!

I am in the exact same situation here
I have UIUC (DGS) and GT mechanical
but i honestly havnt considered purdue that much. compared to the other two universities, purdue doesnt seem to have as much prestige or as good rankings as the others
