which of these programs is better if am double majoring engineering and business ???

Urbana for sure. They are way way better for Engineering and are great for business.

No way. USC undergrad business is ranked 9th (waaay above UIUC), and engineering isn't far behind.

UIUC and USC are both good schools, so it's kind of ridiculous to play the ranking game with these two schools.

One thing you might want to consider is where you really want to work after graduation. Going to USC would make it a lot easier for you to work on the west coast, and of course, it'd be easier to work in the midwest if you go to UIUC.

working on the west is something i will prefer and i also care about grad school

actually USC's engineering program may have caught up, i know they just built a really swanky new engineering hall called Tudor hall and ever since it became Viterbi it's been on the high rise, i think USC might be the way to go.

i am a USC student though keep in mind, but i also passed up UofI to go to USC (business major with a certification through the Engineering school and an ex Comp Sci major so i'm "kind of" like you).

and saying you want to work on the west coast kind of makes it a no brainer now, since USC has powerful connections, and you want to work at the heart of those connections.
