I know that UK schools are very numbers-based. For each of these schools, what would you need to have for acceptance? What are their acceptance rates?

Example: For Cambridge you would need x SAT, x GPA, and x APs, and the acceptance rate is x %.

Also, I happen to be a French citizen. Are the expectations different for EU applicants? I have followed the American curriculum, no IB or BAC. I have lived my entire life in the US. Would it be easier or harder for me to be accepted?

My Stats:

GPA = 3.6 / 4.05, upward curve and only A's Junior year.
SAT = 2080, retaking for 2250+ in October.
AP = 5,5,4,3, and taking 4 more APs this Senior year.
SAT II = 800, 750, 730, and expecting 800 in Math2 in November.

Which UK schools could I get into as an EU citizen? I want to study Economics. Which UK schools are the best for this?

2150+ SAT & 5’s on at least four AP will likely get you into Oxbridge. GPA depends on what high school you attend. LSE is arguably the best place to study econ.

You apply as an international student if you live in the US. I am also an EU citizen, but I have lived in the US for several years, so I am applying as an international student, not an EU student. Citizenship AND residency are used for fees and application category purposes, as least in Oxford (I don’t know about the other schools).

RishiPittacus is correct. As you (or rather your parents as you are under age) have not been resident in the Eu (and therefore paying taxes) for at least the last 3 years, you will be treated as at interntional applicant at all UK universities. You will not be elligible for the reduced price available for EU students and will therefore have to pay 5-10x more. There is generally no financial aid available.

To get specific answers to your questions about GPA and SAT I advise you to e-mail the universities you are interested in. This is the only way to get an accurate answer.

In general they far, far prefer APs, and will almost certainly ignore GPA (it is in effect meaningless because they have no way or knowing the standard of your class, and therefore no way of comparing you to other applicants). Grades in subjects not relating to Economics may be ignored.

Please note that the deadline for Oxbridge application for entry October 2010, is 15th October 2009. You can only apply to Oxford or Cambridge, not both in the same year. You can apply to 5 univeristies maximum. There is one common app at [UCAS Homepage](http://www.ucas.com)
