iOS

Volvo OnCall - A must-have if you own a Volvo. You can remote start, send GPS Destinations to the car, and remote lock and unlock your Volvo. Also useful if you have roadside assistance since you can request assistance from the app.
Dyson Link - A must-have if you own a Dyson or multiple Dyson wifi-linked products. I use mines to turn on and off my air purifier when I either leave for class or am coming back to my room.
Bose SoundTouch - Another must-have if you have a wifi-linked Bose product. I use mines to control my Lifestyle 650 and SoundTouch 30.
Any banking app of the bank you bank with - Makes life a lot easier when you can see the balance of your bank accounts and credit accounts. Especially useful if you have multiple accounts like me.
Myriad of Shopping Apps (Bestbuy, Amazon, Target, etc) - Useful when your looking sales or if your bored like me and want to window shop.

Super useful for actual school:
CamScanner - quickly scan documents and export as jpg or pdf to email, Google Drive, etc. Great for quickly archiving.
Your school’s LMS - whether Canvas or Blackboard, there’s probably an app; sends notifications when grades are posted and reminds you when things are due.

School adjacent but also good to have:
Airline and rail line apps - whatever city you live in, buy tickets through these and check in early for flights (even international! They have a secure way to check your passport!), get mobile boarding passes, track flight status even faster than a gate agent can, plus reschedule very easily in cases of cancellation or major delays.
Lyft/Uber - for when you don’t have a car, don’t want to drive, or don’t want to walk. Many urban schools have deals or discounts with one or the other; gets pricey if you do it all the time though.
For women - Clue or other cycle tracker.

iOS

Poshmark - I’ve made a bunch of extra cash selling clothes I don’t wear!
Pluto Money - I budget and save with it. It’s so simple to use with great design!
Life360 - I feel safer walking off or near campus…
Evernote - I take and keep all my class notes here.
Lyft - Has student discounts for near-campus rides in some schools!
