UM chances

Okay...so I had a pretty solid academic background. My freshmen and sophomore years were great (all A's) I joined in many extracurricular activities and my teachers supplied me with pretty good recommendation letters. In junior year I took 2 AP classes and passed both classes with an A. I failed my semester 2 algebra honors II class and I am going to retake the semester in the beginning of my senior year. I was told that this grade will be used when calculating my cumulative GPA, which now lowered to 3.7 (unweighted). My sophomore year GPA is 4.07 and my junior year GPA is 4.00 I am also taking 5 more AP classes during senior year and few college online courses, including college math. I had theater training from LAMDA program as one of my extracurricular. I believe my SAT scores are pretty good, but I will still retake the test for a better score (2000+). I took few classes online which were added to my transcript and I passed them with an A. If I do get an A in Algebra, will I have a pretty good shot at UM?

Thanks,

What “UM” are you referring to? Also, by the completion of your HS, you’ll have finished what level of math? What is “college math?” Pre-Calc? Calc? What is your intended major? What is your prior SAT?

^ Very critical question.

I apologize for not specifying.
University of Miami
By completion of high school I would have completed geometry honors, algebra 1, algebra 2 honors, AP statistics and few other geometry courses. I actually completed geometry twice and both times I got an A.
On the online website college math is more advanced algebra course
Intended majors: political science and history
Prior SAT: 1800
I am not sure if this SAT score is considered satisfactory in University of Miami, but I did do my research and the average is 1700
I really do like math, I just did not do well on the final during semester II, and I thought that instead of blaming myself I should focus on a solution. Semester 1 I had a high score though.
