Okay, lets get the boring, serious question out of the way first.

I know that Ross (isn't that UM's biz school) is supposed to be amazing (as in T10 sometimes T5), but I was wondering that if I choose to go to LSA and major in Econ instead, can I still be recruited by good I-banking or consulting firms? Is Michigan good enough for these types of jobs, because mostly I keep hearing people say target schools only include HYSW, which kinda annoys me because there are still around 10 other extremely good schools, and it seems a bit ridiculous that only 4 schools can get I-banking jobs. I'm not asking necessarily for Goldman Sachs or something, but just a bank thats maybe just below the top tier of investment banks is all I want. I thought mich would be good since I like the midwest, but are there any top banks in Detroit, or anywhere in the midwest, and is Mich's name strong enough to carry throughout the midwest and maybe east coast?

Now for the more fun part:

I know football is gigantic at Michigan, but I was wondering what other sports are popular. I truely dislike hockey, and basketball at Mich is terrible (and besides, I'm a tarheel fan (sorry, but I love Mich Football!)), so what other sports are popular. I play a fair amount of tennis, so is that popular/good, and also, is the club sports scene good (esp for either flag-football or two-hand touch and tennis since those are the sports I like best)
