similar schools

I have applied to both UMich and MSU. I was already accepted to MSU, (took 4 days) and have still yet to hear back from UMich. I 100% want to attend there if at all possible, but I am not sure if I am going to get accepted. State was my safety school, UMich my dream, just curious on any other schools that are quite similar to UMich. I have several friends that attend there and I love everything from the Campus, Town, and Student Life. Because of this I don't really want to have to attend MSU. Is there any recommendations on any other schools I can apply to similar to Michigan, and is it now to late to think of applying there?

Sorry kind of off topic, but are you in-state and what were ur stats? When did you apply to UMich?

The Big Ten schools all have the same type of atmosphere. If you leave us your stats I think we can seriously evaluate what would be "similar" to Michigan.

dsmo what would be similar schools that have a good business program? Right now Stern and UMich (plan on applying to Ross after frosh yr if I get in) are my reaches...what would be some similar schools w/ good business programs specifically for finance?

Im an In-State Resident, 26 ACT, 3.62 UW GPA, and a mile long list of EC's, including varsity sports every year, 2 yr captain, club president, ap classes, etc.... Also does the major you put down as your intended field of study matter on the admissions process? I put French Studies because that is what I plan on doing... could it possibly help me?

I really like Indiana University-Bloomington and Wisconsin-Madison. Both of them, especially Indiana, have amazing French departments.

parikhs: University of Illinois- Urbana is #5 (I believe) in finance, and #1 in accounting. It's not quite as selective as Michigan, although the bussiness school is comparable in quality.
