which premed program is better to help me get into a top notch med school? which honors program is better? anyone kno about the prism program at UM??

It really doesn’t matter. Its whichever school you feel will give you the opportunities need to build a strong application to medical school. Both offer that.

both great schools, i live in miami and its a very crowded city…rude drivers, one of those cities where traffic jams happen like clockwork and lots of people are not nice.

i costs more, but im sure theres many students out there who have full paid by UM then its a matter of preference.

BUT i believe UF will be better recognized outside the state of florida, therefore possibly ( only possibly) increasing your chances.

well, thats not really a BUT and more of an AND…hope you get the idea

congrats on getting into great schools though

As stated above, if you don’t mind either schools, which cost less? Medical school is a minimum of $120,000 investment (unless you go to a free school, high stats URM and get a scholarship, or female and get a scholarship from certain schools). You wont the less about of debt coming out of undergrad.

if the price is the same with scholarships which wud u prefer? and would u say the prism program at UM will make you stand out?

Then it comes down to which school you like the most. Both schools have different environments when you visit them, at least it did when I did.

PRISM looks like the HHMI Life Science program at UF, so you can do similar programs at both. I know at least for the HHMI program, there is a strong research component that will look good if it leads to publications, presentations, or abstracts.
