also for everyone asking about when in-state comes out, i saw in the thread last year they started coming out around 12/19-12/20
My daughter is in state (currently a senior) and she heard on 12/19, 2015. But that doesn’t stop me from checking the portal every couple of hours for my son while he’s at school and can’t check. Hoping it’s soon.
@BostonMama My S17 heard back Friday, Dec. 16. (Sssshhh…I can still log into his Gmail account and just did so…the boy does not know how to delete old emails!). Hopefully instate decisions are Dec. 14 and not Dec. 21!
@SwimmingDad lol, I’ll keep your secret bc I quietly check in on my son’s from time to time too!
Any OOS art majors hear back EA ?
I’m an instate art major who did EA, and haven’t heard anything yet.
In state, nothing yet.
@SwimmingDad your secret is safe with us! LOL I have been checking my son;s email every day for the past two weeks!
I’m international but nothing happened yet. The waiting game is so nerve wracking!!!
do you think we will hear on saturday?
Is the “secondary exams” requirement null for those who live in the States? I’m afraid that’s holding up my application but I’m not sure.
To ajl2019s, yes I believe you do need to fill out the FAFSA for in state merit. And for what it’s worth if you qualify for the John & Abigail Adams Scholarship you also need to fill out the FAFSA to be able to use it.
If you are a man, you also need to register you for the draft.
Thought I’d share! I was accepted on Monday with chancellor’s award of $14,000 per year. I’m OOS.
Major: English
SAT I: 1270
GPA, class rank: my school does not report
Full IB diploma program, predicted a 36
ECs: 2 leadership positions, acting, school paper, environmental club, service trip
I know my essays were my strongest point (lol applying for English I better write well)
Keep the faith! Wishing you all luck
Accepted on Monday with chancellors award
4.1w GPA
1240 SAT
I had the same problem @Ezga3969 and we called admissions because “secondary exams” with a red X means they think you’re international! call them asap
Any news on decisions?
I don’t see the point in saying they will start releasing decisions 12/10, do some one day and then have several days pass with none. Just change the release date to week later and do them all. If all the other schools can manage to release decisions on a single day they should be able to figure it out. I
Oh man. I received their confirmation email that my application had been submitted and I thought that was that because it said apps cant be processed unless all required materials are received. This is so bad
Im guessing this means I will have to be moved to the regular decision pool. @somp01
