<p>The BDIC program at UMass Amherst enables highly motivated students to design their own majors. </p>
<p>Examples of self-designed majors are Performing Arts Management, Religion and Creative Writing, E Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Social Justice and Outdoor Education, International Relations and International Business, and Addressing Trauma.</p>
<p>The program works well for students who have multiple interests that don't fit into a single major.</p>
<p>Also for students who have a vision of their future--say you know you want to start an art museum. You can then wrap your studies around your dream (in this case, take art classes, entrepreneurship classes, etc.).</p>
