UMASS Amherst Decisions 2022

@mkcblackberry At 9:30?!! Wow that’s late- really hope they’re just working late today to get as many decisions out before Christmas as possible!

I wish they would update the portal at the same time every day so we don’t have to wait and wonder

Dragging admissions really doesn’t benefit anyone… Will they be letting out admissions over the weekend?

Probably not during the weekend, especially since Sunday is Christmas Eve

So did no one hear tonight?

I didn’t… lol just going to try to enjoy the holidays

Has anyone gotten rejection letters yet? it seems like the people who have heard back have been accepted which makes me think that maybe they are waiting to send rejection letters.

Do we think there is any chance that some decisions will be released tonight?

@stanial923 still waiting to hear back for my son as well. He is an EA applicant, decent student, but not a shoe in by any means. From all that I have read on this forum, and in speaking with HS counselor before my son even applied, UMass is notoriously slow & sporadic on decisions. Also, his HS Naviance site shows 152 applicants for class of 2022, 1 acceptance so far. Soooo, while I can’t say for sure, I’m guessing there are plenty more acceptances still to follow. Keep your hopes up, and good luck!

not a single person in state has gotten accepted into Isenberg or the nursing program …

@jonmelillo are you just going from this thread or how do you know not a single in state person has gotten into the business or nursing schools(s)?

@Anthony185 how are you able to view class of 2022 applications in naviance? we can only view past years but not current years’ application (unless we aren’t doing it correctly). admissions told us that acceptances and denials and deferrals are released in no particular order (ie, acceptances don’t all come out first). we also spoke to the Dean of Isenberg who said that admissions will release BY January 15 although the hope is that we receive much earlier than that – she had confirmed that with the undergrad admissions dean prior to telling us that. How they are releasing this year is no different than year’s past. It’s just frustrating to be in the thick of it. Good luck to all. We are now calendaring for mid-January and anything sooner will be a blessing.

@mytwobuoys On naviance under admissions it shows applicants of 2018. It just won’t be totally accurate because it is based on whether people have updated their status for the school yet.

yep i can see it on naviance under 2018 as well… how many applied and how many actually updated their status to say accepted…@abcd24680 and @mytwobuoys

Our Naviance only shows last year and no this year - you all must have an upgraded version! Ours still shows the app fee being $75 when in fact it is $$80!

@mytwobuoys On our Naviance, when clicking on a school’s graph/scattergram from the “Schools I’m Applying” to page, we get a table of applicants/admitted for 2016-2017-2018 shown above the scattergram. Sounds like you get that as well, but just not for 2018?

I agree with other posters, the data DOES rely on students updating Naviance so I take it loosely for sure. I do also kind of triangulate what I see on Naviance with what I see at:

https://www.collegedata.com/cs/admissions/admissions_tracker_result.jhtml?method=selectCollegeWithDefaultYear&schoolId=193&classYear=2022&profilesCount=202

–which so far shows like 8 accepted out of 57 applicants (~14%) for class of '22. Very unscientific, as this data is also determined by students updating their info. My son applied to 13 schools – I do keep an eye on them all, and the data, while not perfectly accurate I’m sure, does, I believe at least hint on a particular school’s decisions to date. i.e. so far, ASU shows 23 of 24 accepted, BU, 6 of 103, Marquette 4 of 8, Mizzou 6 of 8…so, students do seem to be updating to some extent – how accurately, no clue.

So, I may be optimistic, but I’m staying with UMASS-Amherst still having plenty of good news to dish out this year! Just hoping some of it comes my son’s way.

Yes, very frustrating, I agree, and good luck to you and all others still waiting.

Sounds like our high school doesn’t allow us access to the 2018 applicants. Too bad. I’m a data geek and love that stuff. We see 2015, 2016 & 2017 only.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all. Good luck to all of us still waiting <

Would I have a chance of getting into the honors college with a 1240 SAT and 4.0 weighted gpa?

When would I get my decisions if I apply regular?
