Umass, UVM, or UNH - Do I really want more debt? Or is excitement/exploration worth it?

I have been accepted to UMass Amherst, University of New Hampshire, and University of Vermont for the Dietetics/Nutrition major. I am from New Hampshire, so UNH is significantly less expensive for me, however I live 25 minutes away from campus and really want to leave home. UNH has a good nutrition program, but I feel like I would fit in much more with the people at UVM and Umass (I am a bit hippie/artsy) and the areas are so much better than Durham, NH. UNH doesn’t really excite me, and they have such a sports culture there which is not my thing. Also, I am near the top of my high school class and I feel like Umass and UVM are better known for their academics, and I want to be surrounded by people of similar academic standing. Is my ego getting in the way? - I can probably get the same education at UNH as I can at the other two. But I feel like UNH is “settling” and does not excite me, but is going to UVM or Umass worth the extra tens of thousands of dollars?
