Reflection

Strengths: My recommendations and essays were stellar. I was also very involved in the school community.
Weaknesses: My overall GPA, my HS senior year grades were awful.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I think my essays are what got me in, also my dedication to school as a college student, plus they could see from my transcript that I was running out of classes to take.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Still waiting to hear back from GW and UMD.

General Comments:

  • I talked to an admissions rep before applying and they said that basically anyone with a 3.0+ is most likely going to be accepted, it does get more competitive for Honors College though. For HC you probably need a 3.5+
