UMD College Park class of 2022 EA discussion

Just keep waiting my daughter and I waited about a half hour and then the screen with decision was black for about 20 mins.

Wheatmom. Same here. Am unsure what it means.

I got in, with admission to CIVICUS program. Does this mean I didn’t get into Honors program.
34 ACT 3.91 GPA OOS

My daughter was accepted Animal Science/Preprofessional, Carillon Communities. What is Carillon Communities?

DD got in to Computer Science and Carillon Communities(not sure what this is)
Female OOS, residing in India but US citizen
1500 SAT
Strong ECs

Please explain freshman connection?? Do i have to apply for it or is it first come first serve???

@SoofDad @FwiendGuy I was so confused about them going on about the Carilion program which she would have zero interest and nothing about the smith school, that I tried to click on another page and was locked out for the next 90 minutes. Unbelievably frustrating…

@FwiendGuy What does it say at the bottom of your letter?

My son is accepted to UMD & Carillion community. He applied to business - this is not mentioned in the letter text but after the signature line it says – Major: Business: Undecided* (0503U) Advising College: The Robert H. Smith School of Business

So we do not know if he is accepted to the business school or not. Any idea?

Accepted into scholars program 4.2 w 3.94 uw 1490 sat, what exactly is the scholars program? How is it different from the honors college? When is scholarship info released

My son was admitted to Smith as a Finance Major and also admitted to the Carillon community. It is a “living / learning” community. The kids live in a specific dorm on north campus, I think it’s called Easton. You can google it,

My d letter says Decision response not submitted with UID # what does that mean?

@daisy0114 – where does your letter reference acceptance to Smith? thanks!

I got in as a criminology major and got accepted for the civicus program.

@CA1543 I expected the letter to open with a congratulations you are accepted to the Smith school of Business. I missed the last couple of lines about her business acceptance and texted her that she wasn’t in. It took me 90 minutes to be able to login again and reread the letter to the very bottom!!

Accepted for CS and Honors College! OOS Asian Male, 1500 SAT, 35 ACT, 4.40 GPA, 11 APs, National Merit Semi. Congrats to everyone else who got in, and to all who didn’t, there will be some great school out there that will take you, so good luck!

But I do have to say that this whole Coalition decision thing was completely ridiculous. A heads-up “we’re having technical difficulties” email or even a tweet would’ve been nice. Don’t blame the admissions office completely, but I just hope they get it together.

I didn’t realize that Computer Science wasn’t in the Engineering College.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Email says letter but no letter in coalition lol
