UMD Honors College Programs ?

I am trying to choose which Honors College would be the best for me at UMD, and the information that I have found so far does not seem to be very in-depth. Can anyone describe the generals of any program, including advantages and disadvantages?

I am interested in Digital Cultures and Creativity because I have heard from a landscaping architecture student that she was designing a playground that would actually be built, and because I quite like thinking creatively. However, I’m not sure what the digital element does. Can anyone explain that to me?

I also am interested in Honors Humanities, because I really love thinking in a liberal arts fashion and enjoy exploring what it means to be human. The keystone project also looks very cool, though I’ve done a high school project before and most kids just BS-ed it. The description of this college seems a little too good to be true, but the joking tone in the “languages spoken” section turned me off. I don’t really know much else about this program.

The last one I’m considering is University Honors because while I have certain interests, I have not settled on a major and want flexibility in my studies. Can anyone give me a run-down of this as well?

@loease - Go with what is of interest to you. I wouldn’t over think it too much. My D is a Junior now and picked University Honors for its flexibility. She completed her Honors requirement and received her Honors Citation last semester. She enjoys being in the Honors College and is currently in her Departmental Honors Program. Keep in mind that College is not High School More will be expected of you. Good Luck.
