Hello. I have been accepted into UMD in the fall and I intend to go there. The only issue is my grade in AP calc. Math is not my strong suit. I received my first c in AP calc. There is a good chance that my final grade in AP calc will be a “d” or an “f”. I already have enough math credits so this will not effect my graduation. I will have “As” and “Bs” for final grades in my other classes. Will UMD rescind their decision if I get a “d” or an “f” in that class?
I’m pretty sure they won’t. This is based on anecdotal evidence but I’ve known of several people that had severe senioritis, failed a class or two, and didn’t get their admission rescinded from UMD
I would be careful. UMD is a top tier public school and only wants the best students.
My guess is you will be fine, since you have completed your math requirements already. An F might be iffy though.
No you’ll be fine, I had a friend last year who got into UMD and never even showed up for calc anymore, she still got in.
