UMDCP vs UMBC for computer science major/minor-gaming

Does anyone have any insight on UMDCP vs UMDBC for computer science. I'm interested in a gaming track. I hear it's hard to break into the gaming field and it's wiser to pursue a formal CS degree and track or minor in gaming. Any thoughts?

I don’t have any experience in the gaming field, but I have heard it is hard to get into :/

CS at UMDCP is pretty awesome. If you get good grades (GPA >= 3.5), there are internships that would just love to take you. However classes can be huge (40-70 people) so you do feel like a number some days. Either way I feel like you can’t make a wrong choice.

Also, while UMCP doesn’t offer a game development track, we do have AI, Computer Graphics, and a Game Development course, which is pretty much the UMBC gaming track anyway.

I know CS at UMD is very highly regarded.

UMBC has excellent internship and research opportunities for computer science majors. Check out the UMBC Shriver Center
