Hello, I am thinking of transfering to U of M but I am concerned about what kind of financial aid I can expect to receive as a transfer. I would be in-state so my tuition would be smaller, but still, what types of fin. aid (in the form of scholarship or grant money) can I expect? Thanks.

Anybody know??

U of M Ann Arbor offers very little to in-state students beyond the basic federal financial aid programs. Don't expect much. If you qualify for PELL, you will probably get SEOG, too. If your income is on the lower end, you will probably get SEOG (but that is a limited "pot" for the school, so applying early & getting your aid info in early is helpful). You can also get federal loans & work study money. Beyond that, there is not much. If you still have Michigan Merit Award money, you can use that, too. I don't know how MI competitive scholarship works these days; if you qualify & still have funds to use, you can use that. But you can probably forget about merit money. I don't know many who get it as freshmen, so I don't transfers will get any.
