Check your portal, I didn’t get an email but the portal was updated for me
I’m scared to check
My decision is gone? I clicked view decision and the box is empty
It still might be in the process of updating…? @Axlevision22
Anyone have any info on waitlist? Does anyone ever get off the waitlist?
ACCEPTED! Quick Facts - OOS, 34 ACT, 94/100 GPA unweighted, 7 AP, summer and weekend job pumping gas at a station, president of environmental club and vp of two other clubs, 3 sports - 1 varsity. Brother attends currently in LSA. Sorry to anyone who didn’t get in and congrats to everyone that did! This was my number one and last school to hear from.

I saw somewhere else the yield from 2016-2017 was 700 spots
Oh btw I’m OOS too! NY!
If my wolverine access doesn’t show anything, does that mean my decision hasn’t been released yet? I’m not sure if im looking in the right place…
Rejected to engineering out of state with 33 act, 3.8 gpa… oh well, at least I have an easier decision to make now. Congrats to those who got in!!
Rejected OOS to engineering… man wtf do i have to do to get accepted gd
OOS waitlisted. ACT 36/4.0 UW. I am not sure why? Got into Brown, Vandy, Johns Hopkins, Duke
@rsmith0208 because since you are out of state umich knew you would decline their offer and go somewhere better
Has everyone who’s been accepted received an email at this point?? Or has the notification just been through WA?
@Eeeee127. Too many assumptions on their part. If they make decisions like that they hosuld refumd people
Congratssss to all who are accepted!
I haven’t heard yet. Will it be today or tomorrow? Is there a specific time?
The statements about yield protection on here are nothing more than speculation. UM got close to 60,000 applications this year. There are going to be MANY MANY well qualified students who are rejected/waitlisted.
If you spend time on other forums of this website, you will find many students posting about curious acceptances/denials. The only conclusion you can draw is that there are way more applicants than the schools can admit. And estimating yield is getting harder for schools to predict as students apply to more and more schools every year. Schools do not want to be in the position of over enrolling.
Waitlisted. In state: 32 ACT, 3.93UW/4.13W GPA, Solid ECs, and great Essays and Recs. I also did some stuff with the UMich Hospital. My high school is pretty much a feeder school into Michigan and is extremely competitive/difficult. Really bummed out about my decision and also upset because it seems that they accept a ton of under qualified people early so they don’t have spots for the regular admissions pool.
Waitlisted, OOS 34 ACT 2190 SAT 4.6 W 3.8 UW, with lots of EC and strong leadership. Essays weren’t the greatest, but I still spent a long time tailoring them to my application. Disappointed, UMich was one of my top choices
