are the decisions mailed? or can they be viewed over wolverine access? thanks!!!

I checked Wolverine Access today and it says that review of my application is complete and that I will receive written confirmation of my admissions decision in about 2 weeks. What does this mean?!?!

normally, if you were accepted it says Accept from what I have been told.

i get the same 2 week thing and it means you were not accepted :(

i heard if you were deferred it says nothing and you just receive a letter, email, or phone call, but don't quote me on this.

normally, if you were accepted it says "Accept" from what I have been told.

i get the same 2 week thing and it means you were not accepted :(

i heard if you were deferred it says nothing and you just receive a letter, email, or phone call, but don't quote me on this.

so if I got that, it means I was rejected?

sorry my comment posted twice, my computer went crazy for a minute.

yeah, normally if you receive the "two weeks notice" it means you were rejected. every person i have talked to got that and was rejected. :(

well I'm not listening to anything I hear from anyone until I get an official letter. it's usually misinformation.

it's not misinformation. it happened to me firsthand and many friends that i knew from the auditions back when i auditioned and in recent auditions. hope your situation is different but it's doubtful, since people that were accepted and deferred had it happen this year in the way i wrote about. best of luck

Where on Wolverine Access do y'all see the accept or 2 weeks stuff? I'm on right now and I can't find either anywhere.

Boy, I wish I could give some good advice here, this is all very fresh in my mind from when my son auditioned for colleges last year. Just try and remember to breath through the stress, ok?

From what I recall of my son's experience last year, those who were accepted outright were emailed the decision directly (which was a surprise), there was no notification posted on WA that "the decision would be mailed in 2 weeks." I am NOT saying this is how they will do it this year, it's just his experience from last.

If you don't see any message on your WA, it likely means that a decision one way or another (acceptance, deferral, not accepted) has not yet been made.

The student I have been coaching in straight acting received the acceptance email on Wednesday the 25th - She auditioned February 8th at the LA Unifieds. The subject line read: University of Michigan Admissions Decision - again this was for the BFA in acting not MT. My daughter also received her acceptance notice the same way last year. Hopes this helps! Good luck to all waiting!!

If you get the "decision will be mailed to you" it generally means you are not accepted. Those who are accepted are traditionally informed via an email.

Eveyone that we have talked to that was accepted intoMT this year and that is 3 of the 6 that are in so far, got phone calls. The deferred kids get mail from the postal service and the rejections have so far been given the 2 week warning!

My student who got accepted for MT this year didn't get a phone call, she got an email only. (She was the 4th person they accepted, so there doesn't seem to be any pattern to who gets called and who gets emails.)

So far there have been 4 girls and 3 guys accepted to UMich BFA Musical Theatre. There are 17 deferred 9 girls and 8 guys. This is only the people that I have heard of. I'm sure there are more.

Just got my "you are deferred" letter from UMich, so add me in that number!

And 1 more guy to add to that number....letter received today.

joshsmith27 and luv2sail, congratulations! Did either of you receive an email or phone call or was the letter the only thing you got?

Would you mind sharing when you auditioned?

It is probably impossible for us to know the exact numbers of deferrals and acceptances at this point. Add also to the list 2 people. My son was deferred and got the letter the 27th. We have a friend that got accepted by finding it on his Wolverine Access yesterday. It is also a guy. That is nw 4 guys and 4 girls accepted, as far as we know.

so im a girl who auditioned on February 3rd at Unifieds in Chicago, I sang three songs, and i received a deferred letter dated the 24th of feburary. just throwin that out there. lol
