Do you know what it says on the Wolverine access for the waitlist? How many have you heard that was put on the waitlist?

When you go to the acceptance link on the Wolverine Access, it will give you a prompt that tells you that you have been waitlisted and asks if you would like to accept the offer to be put on the waitlist or not.

If they have already developed a waitlist, wouldn't it stand to reason that they have completed their regular notifications too?

CamClog- When did your son find out his deferral?

Ahhhh im freaking about mich! I want it so bad! Best of luck to everyone else!!

He found out on Feb.27th..

My two cents (take them for what they're worth, which may not even be two cents) :)

My son is a freshman MT at UMich. I believe this year the department is being a little more cautious sending out acceptances because last year they did end up with more students matriculating than they anticipated. The current freshman MT class is 24.

The department will not complete their offers of acceptances prior to the completion of the auditions the weekend after this one. So once again, if you have an audition scheduled, go for it!

As far as using Facebook as a source for the number of students who have been offered acceptance, I'd recommend proceeding cautiously. According to my son, last year there was one or two students who joined the Michigan MT 2012 Facebook group who later were found to have not been offered a spot after all.

Lastly, this weekend is the 25th Anniversary Gala. I'd imagine it is a very busy time for the department and I'd be surprised if any acceptances were offered for the remainder of the week.

Good luck everyone!

SeniorMom08, I think it was worth far more than 2 cents, haha! Thanks for your input! I thought the same thing about the anniversary concert! I KNOW they are busy! We will be there! We got great 2nd row seats. It is so easy to get so bent out of shape over these things. Common sense tells you they won't post their final decisions til after the last audition but someone had convinced me otherwise. Should have listened to my own intuition! Oh, and about the kids that joined but weren't offered a spot, my son warned me against believing everything on ANY online forum or posting! Thanks again!

I got a letter saying I was deferred a few weeks ago and have heard nothing from U of M...I just checked my Wolverine Status and it still says absolutely nothing regarding an admission decision. haha. Help?

Last year my son heard from them on April 4th that he was moved from deferral to waitlist.

Son placed on waitlist after being deferred.

Congratulations, momsonfaith, your son has some great programs from which to choose!

So I took everyone’s advice and went to the audition! I’m glad I did, it was a great experience even if I don’t get accepted. So thanks for the encouragement! Now I just have to wait… If it’s help to anyone, they told us that after our audition since it was the last one, we were going to be hearing back pretty quickly, like within a week or two… So hopefully all will know soon!

Is there anyone else who auditioned February 6 who hasn’t heard yet?

Son accepted to MT BFA. He is soooooo excited! :)

Yeah! Congrats to your son, britbrat!

Did anyone from the last audition date get accepted?
