Now dual enrolled in calc 3 and will take diffeq 2nd semester

5 AP classes total
UW gpa is around 3.92 or 3.93
Great extracurriculars, and volunteering

Multicultural (Indian, Caucasian) background male
In state, very competitive high school, sends about 30 kids a year to umich.

We attended an engineering info session and they said that admissions looks at total sat and math sub score. I feel like he’s well in the middle 50% but also wondering if under 1500 is a pretty much auto deny for COE.

What do you think?

Instate helps you but as you know it’s very competitive. Apply early. Being deffered is the normal thing. Lower English scores for engineering is typical. The science and math scores are the ones that matter more so. They will look at your senior grades.

Yep, application has already been submitted. We’ll see.
