<p>Now that Regular Decisions are being released by other schools, I was hoping that the CC community could help shed some light on a dilemma that I am facing. I know UMich is a great school, and the Honors college is very prestigious, but what other schools does it compare to academically speaking? </p>

<p>Michigan’s closest academic peers are Cal, Cornell, Northwestern, Penn, Texas, UCLA and Wisconsin. The honors program is not really that special relative to the rest of the University of Michigan because of the overall quality of the student body and university.</p>
<p>I agree with Alexandre, Michigan and Berkeley are the most similar as far as undergraduate academics.</p>
<p>kind off…generally i guess thats true, both scholls have a lot in common, but i guess it depends what you want to go into…business about the same, engineering a little better at cal, english bump to cal, social scines prolly to mich…if your oos for both then theyre like the same price too, but if youre in state one tehre a big difference</p>
