UMich Honors vs Middlebury

Hi I am having a very hard decision choosing between Michigan's Honors Program and Middlebury, as I was just taken off the waitlist for Middlebury. Middlebury was originally one of my top choices. The problem is that I would be happy at both schools and they are very different so that it is hard to compare.

I want to major in Environmental Science/Policy. Middlebury was the founding school for this major, and graduates of this program go to most commonly, Yale, Duke or UM, which means thats Michigan's program is pretty good for this major.

I like that Middlebury is small so that I will know everyone, and the food is apparently really good. But because I am an outgoing person, I would also adapt to a bigger school and be able to meet people. But the classes would be less personal at UM. On the otherhand though, UM has a better reputation and is more widely known. Or would Middlebury be known through most universities? Because I will most likely do a masters course I am having a really hard time deciding and at this point I am not leaning one way or the other. Can anyone give any advice?

You go where you’ll be most happy.

Grad schools know Middlebury–I would NOT worry about that aspect of it.

I a huge Mid fan while all my sibs went to U of M…but why not go to Mid for undergrad and target UMich for grad school especially if cost is either not an issue or is the same for undergrad for both?
