UMICH Hopeful

I didnt mean to say Ap/honors don't matter, I meant to say they don't matter regarding your gpa. They'll definately consider it otherwise, though.

yah-i understand the whole thing regarding the safety schools- i plan on applying to miami BC and Boston University(legacy) for safety schools
so basically-is the majority consesus a match/deferall for me?

cJ, although Michigan is your third choice on your list of schools, it is actually very strong in Economics (the highest ranked among your 5 choices) and quite effective at Law school placement. Between 120-150 students enroll into N14 Law schools annually and another 100 or so into the next 10-15 law schools.

In terms of chances, I would say Florida is a safety if you are in state and a safe match if you are out of state, Michigan is a slight reach and the other schools are reaches.

yah-i live in fl...
if i apply early-like in october-how much would it help?

October isn't early. Late August and September is considered early. Assuming Michigan is still using rolling admissions, your chances would obviously be improved if you apply early.

It can take anywhere from a week to a month for UMich to confirm that it has all documents, so it is generally a good idea to apply before the month of October (i.e. what Alexandre said).

If the current system stays in place, UMich will start reviewing apps. in early November.
