UMich LSA Honors polisci/ford vs GW Elliott?

Hi everyone, I am currently torn between UMich Ann Arbor and GWU. I was accepted to both schools-- I would be studying political science at UMich in LSA, and I got into GW Elliott School of International Affairs so if I went to GW I’d be doing international relations. I am OOS for UMich, and GW gave me $18k scholarship per year which makes it slightly cheaper than UMich. I still have to hear back from UMich Honors (I hear back at the end of April), and if I get in I would be doing honors political science and then applying to the Ford School of Public Policy for junior/senior year.

I am interested in going to grad/law school after undergrad, and I have visited both schools. I feel like Michigan’s academics are better but GW’s location offers better chances for internships in DC…but I also feel like it could go either way? Anyway, helppppp SOS

I have the same decision to make. I think I’m going to choose Michigan. I used to be set on the whole D.C. situation but Michigan really is the full package. It has one of the best college towns and has much more clout. GW has very little school spirit and no campus.

@pz1818 did you get into LSA Honors? I have to wait till April 24th to find out but if I do get into Honors i think that would really put the icing on the cake.

@memequeen420 Yes I got into honors this morning. It erased any doubt I had. But even if I had gotten rejected Michigan would be my number 1

@pz1818 ahhh congrats!!! that’s awesome-- hope the same thing happens to me in a little less than a month
