UMich Mathematical Finance + BBA Manageable?

I am apply to university of Michigan and noticed that they have financial mathematics as a major in their arts and sciences school and not in their Ross school of business. I would consider myself to be really good at math so I want to go into quants and I know that financial math would be a great major. However, I also want to gain a complete education of business itself so applying to the Ross school for a reserved seat seems logical. Would getting a double major in financial mathematics from arts&sciences and bba from Ross be too much?

by too much, I mean would it make sense

The only people who can really answer that question, would be people who are at U Michigan. Contact the major advisors of both programs and ask whether this is something that is possible to do (some places won’t let you have majors in two different divisions of the university), and if so, how you might need to arrange your course schedule.

You also can print out the graduation requirements for both majors, and see how much overlap there is. It is possible that the requirements for one of the majors would fulfill electives needed for the other.

If that is what you want to do, it makes lots of sense. An undergrad degree may be insufficient (for your chosen area), however, and you should also check with the career planning and placement offices as well as advising whether it makes sense to spend a bit more time to complete some graduate education as well.

That is the same interests as my son. I believe though that he will just minor in math to more realistically finish in four years.

bba + financial math is a fairly popular combination. you should be able to finish in 4 years with careful planning.
