umich or uiuc

So i'm in a dilemma. Both umich and uiuc have good business schools. HOwever michigan's is better and i like umich better overall in terms of the people and the area. I'm from IL though so uiuc is MUCH cheaper. What should I do???
Is michigan really worth 100 grand more?

no .

I would pick UMich, but nobody can decide for you. Go based on fit.

I would pick Umich definitely, and if you decide to be part of the 1/3 of the graduating class to be goign into Investment Banking than you can pay off all your debt in 1 to two years which will be worth the ross degree.

It depends on your emphasis. Umich has more prestige, but if you pull of a 3.5+ at UIUC you'll get as many offers as Ross students. I would pick uiuc, and if you change your mind work your ass off, get a 3.7+ and transfer to umich. (make sure to get As in econ, math, and english.

Opportunities-wise UIUC is not going to be that different from UMich (especially if you do well - top 15-20%). There could be some management consulting and i-banking jobs that are not available for UIUC graduates to the same extend these jobs are there for Ross graduates, but 100K is too much money.
