Ok, so here it goes: I've been admitted into each of the aforementioned schools with Computer Science as my intended major. Obviously I now have to decide which one to opt for, and I'm hoping that you guys (and gals) can help me out.

Please keep in mind:

The quality of the Computer Science program obviously matters.

Though Computer Science is my major, I'm very interested in pursuing a course that blends Computer Science and Fine Arts like the BCSA (Bachelor of Computer Science and Arts) in Carnegie Mellon.

Location matters, but not so much the wheather (I'm already fully aware of Michigan's bone-chilling winters), rather, what I wanna know the start-up scene and job opportunities of each locale.

Research opportunities and interships within the university matter.

I do not care which one is a better party-school.

The student faculty ratio of each university, the lower, the better.

Although I don't hold this in too much esteem, the prestige and "name" of each university is something to consider.

Lastly, I'm an international student, so there's no in-state tuition to consider here. As a matter of fact, disregard tuition altogether, since I have a college fund that deals with that. Lets only take into consideration the housing prices and cost of living of each place.

So, with that being said, which university do you guys consider the better fit?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You are asking for ppl to do a bit much legwork for you. Some you can look up yourself like student teacher ratio.

Housing price and cost of living is something you can look up through a variety of sources. If you look up the estimate of Cost of Attendance, which should be on the website, the room and board for on campus living should be specified. Usually they will show for off campus living too. But any money saved on tuition and fees can be applied to cost of living, can’t it?

Austin has both a pretty good start up scene and arts scene. I’m sure Atlanta has opportunities. Not so sure of Michigan, but it is always said to be a great college down. Really each of those locations have certain attractions.

You will get a top quality CS education at any of those. For incorporating arts, I’d think you would have more offerings at Michigan or Texas.

Haha, yeah, I know, sorry for asking so much, and you’re right, I could easily look for pricing, cost of living and teacher:student ratio… which is why I already have, so I don’t need too much guiding there, it’s just that any information can come in handy, so you never know.
