@Eeeee127 Sorry but you are wrong about the email. Here is the proof. https://umich.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2082/session/L3RpbWUvMTQ4MTU1Mzg2Ni9zaWQvSTZDUFVYNW4%3D
Sorry for the long link.
Wait how was I wrong about the email?
10 years ago umich average act was 25-30 with acceptance rate of 60% with rolling decisions released starting in september. ha we couldve all already gotten in
Honestly people on college confidential are so competitive.
@brooklynilene I do attend UM and I’m not confused—and my last final is on the 16th.
It’s different for everyone. People’s breaks start on the 15th, too: http://ro.umich.edu/calendar/fa16.php
Also to all who were wondering, I also heard from a reliable source that Michigan is expected to have 60k+ applicants this year.
@guitar321 How many applied for Early Action?
@guitar321 Even if your last final is on the 16th, that doesn’t mean that all of U of M is going on break on the 16th, which was what I was referring to in my post. So, our decisions might or might not come out this week
Does the email tell you the decision or does it just say the decision is ready on wolverine access?
@plsacceptme99, the letter simply tells you that the portal has been updated.
@plsacceptme99 The email tells you your decision. My friends who were accepted last year posted screenshots of the email and it said Congrats (your name). You’re in! if you’re accepted. or it’s a long deferral email.
the last day of umich finals is the 22nd according to the online calendar on the umich website.
Yes, over past 4 years heres the trend for number of apps so it will probably be around 60,000 this year.
2013: 45,000
2014: 49,000
2015: 51,000
2016: 55,000
@Eeeee127 Maybe not. At some point that number has to plateau. I could see it being at 56,000 or so this year.
This is the most stressful thread I’ve ever been on in my life
Does anyone know which college within Michigan has the most EA applicants? And if you don’t know EA then which school has the overall most applicants?
@cguzmanmv LSA for sure
If you want the exact numbers, go to this link. < http://ro.umich.edu/enrollment/enrollment.php > Under the second sub header labeled “101: Comparative Enrollment by School or College and Gender,” click the first link and download the sheet. It will give the exact numbers for all the colleges (LSA was 19,668 but this number represents all the 4 graduating classes. If you divide that number by 4, you get a rough estimate on the new enrollment- 4,917). Also, I recommend looking at the first link under “Enrollment Overview Reports” because that will show the trends from the recent years and the breakdown by gender, ethnicity and some other statistics.
Ugh anyone else super stressed? I applied EA and umich is very popular at my high school in NY. So anxious to get our decisions. I thought it would come out on the 16th (I hope) but now I am starting to doubt that earlier date.
When do you guys think we will hear?
