UMichigan Ann Arbor EA Class of 2021 Applicants

I am able to get in just fine @jonshomali

Huh, thats very strange. I am entering all of my correct information, I’ve been doing this once a day for a month now and now it’s not working… :frowning:

It’s telling me to enter my Uniqname but I have been entering my usual information, my email address as my login and my usual password. Now I’m really confused :-S

Got rejected ED, when’s Michigan out? 24th?

What time should i brace myself on friday guys? anyone know?

hope ED people accepted anywhere will let umich know in time

@kl1211 was thinking that this morning lol, some kids from my school got into colombia and harvard…i’ll bet they wait and hear from Michigan for the hell of it

@goblue8721 They will most likely come around 5 pm Eastern time. That is when most colleges start sending admissions.

@tku980 either the 16th or 24th 4PM EST

yeah if you were accepted early decision, please withdraw your app ASAP to make room for others!

@goblue8721 around 3-4 est

came in at 3:07pm last year and were released in batches

@goblue8721 yeah unfortunately some ppl accepted early decision just want to see if they will get into umich and not withdraw their app. harvard does restrictive early action though, which means people accepted early do not have to withdraw other apps because they can still apply to other schools.

Wait can you clarify what exactly did you do after you got deferred? @whizkid98

does anyone know how Michigan is with financial aid for oos?

@cguzmanmv Well before the end of the year I wrote a letter of continued interest, and sent it to my admissions counselor at the exact time the admissons office opened back up (8:00 AM, Mon. Jan 4th). My semester ended at the end of the month and I sent my grades in. My portal showed that they got mid-year grades on Feb. 8th, 3 days after I was accepted, so I’m not sure if it actually had an impact on their decision.

@kl1211 what do you mean by “batches”?

They usually release a certain number at the top of the hour starting 3pm

@amarz12 so one batch at 3 pm, one batch at 4, one batch at 5 to spread it out @whizkid98 my first semester grades don’t come out until early feb so if i get deferred (which I hope I don’t), will they be able to use the first semester grades for february decisions?

@amarz12 Other schools release decisions in batches. Which means that one group of students gets in at a certain time and then after like 10 min to an hr another group of students will get decisions.
