@pdizzla read the section again. It says transfer admission will still be available for undecided and dual degree UM students next year. UM high school visits and info sessions have also all stated that 2021 students will have the option to transfer to Ross
Two more days… time flies
@hotentoth Thank god. I was a bit scared for a second. Even if I don’t get into Ross, I would still be fine pursuing econ.
Does applying to the Residence College have any bearing on my odds of getting into LSA?
Where on the portal does it say your admission decision?
@BreadedPrincess Log into the portal, click “Application Status”, then click “View Application Data”, scroll all the way on that page and it will be under the “Other Information” box
I noticed my academic plan from my application was listed as “Residential College,” to which I realized wasn’t what I was looking for and could potentially be a huge problem for my decision as I would like to be a biology major. My essays and high school course load reflected this. I think that it slipped my mind when I was filling the “academic sub plan” out and assumed that residential college meant LSA.
My question is if I should alert the admissions office or wait to see what happens when decisions come out? I am afraid of notifying them because I don’t want that mistake to be something that changes their decision for me, but I also would like to notify them in case it is something that is currently against me.
@bbmmkk7 I think that they have already made the decisions since they are set to be released this week, so perhaps contacting them will not do you any good. I would just wait for the decisions to come out and then contact them to figure it out after you get in.
So how do we check if we got in or not when Dec 24th rolls around?
Wolverine access/portal (Same thing) @Sonali11
For real… you guys have all applied to the University of Michigan. You are supposed to be smart, so use some common sense and see if the answers to your questions have already been answered or if you can simply find it on the UofM website. It’s not that difficult
@Dieharduofm1999 Also when the same question gets asked (literally) 15 times a day. Really gets annoying.
On the University of Michigan instagram, they said that decisions will start rolling out “next week.” When someone said what they meant by that, they said “by next week, we mean Dec 18-24.” Does that mean that decisions could start coming out today?
lol tuesday
@hotentoth If you mean that they can “transfer” as sophomores through regular admission then you are wrong and @pdizzla is correct. I have emailed the Ross Admissions office 5 times, called them twice, and have created two feeds on the topic. All for clarification on the admissions process. I get the same response, “In order for a high school senior graduating in '17 to gain admittance into Ross, the must apply preferred admission. They will not have the option of regular admission as a Michigan freshman. Transfer admission will still be an option but will be extremely selective with only 100 applicants.” So basically, transfer will still exist, but you’ve got a much better chance applying preferred admit.
Lol the only reason I brought that up is because nobody said anything about the instagram post
Sorry, I’ve just been super anxious these past few weeks with finals and college apps so excuse me if I just want to be 100% sure I’m checking the right place.
@Sonali11 join the club bro
@ataylor963 what do u mean by the instagram post
@ataylor963 I follow the University of Michigan Instagram page, and i didn’t see anything about that… is there another page?
