Im instate. My interview is on the 19. next friday!!!!! was the chemistry test hard?

im from oos, and i just found out i got into the undergrad umkc; not sure when we know we get the interview- do they call us?

hey, i an instater who is going crazy. i got the "congrats u've been accepted for undergrad at UMKC" letter today and i almost exploded. i got a 34 on the act (one question away from a 35) and am first in my class (but my wonderful catholic school won't say so b/c ranking puts to much stress on students...pansies). however, my ec are terrible and i'm thinking about dropping out of nhs (the pres has ruined the club). so basically i have the same question: how long does it take to get called for an interview? i'm going insane and am running for the phone every time it rings.

muddiness: call Ms. Morgenegg. No worries!

whats her phone number?

okay so after you called her, what exactly did you ask her mazurskie? haha by the way, your username for college confidential (mazurskie) is a name of an violin solo I played :) thought I'd share. It was a great musical piece.

ms morgenegg's # is 816/235-1783

she's really nice and helpful, you can ask her any questions you have.

So are we supposed to call them ourselves to find out, or can we expect a call from them? Also, how many days notice do they give you before the interview takes place?

you get to pick the date you want for the interview so you get to decide how many days notice you want before your interview

interview so close! we are leaving to go to kc tomorrow. im pretty nervous but i guess that is to be expected. i hope it doesn't snow while im there. that wouldn't be cool at all. i think im more nervous about the chemistry test than the interviews.

Did any oos ppl get interview notifications yet?

it doesn't hurt to call...realize that they may have called and left a message on you answering machine. i hadn't realized this and actually found out a couple weeks later than i should have.

don't be nervous about the chemistry test if you've taken any pre-ap chemistry...here are some practice questions http://homepages.utoledo.edu/ajorgen/practicequiz.asp i believe the test is called ACS Toledo Chemistry exam if you want to see what it's really like

Thanx cookiefairy.
i am yet to get an interview call

.
same here

question--Does Mrs. Morgenegg do all the reviewing of folders, or is she just like the secetary that gives our folders to the dean of the six year admissions?

did anyone call her and ask if they have an interview? im kinda scared to ask.

I believe Ms. Morgenegg does review the folders, as she is on the Council on Selection for the medical school, but she does not conduct the actual interviews (this is done by MDs, PhDs). Unless she's left, her secretary is Ms. Basma Jaffri 816 235 1870.

Don't be afraid to call either of them; I called them several times for questions and such when I was waiting for admission. Just call and ask when you should hear about an interview.

hmm so cookiefairy, do you think communication could play a very minor role for interviews? I'm getting kind of worried because although I live in Kansas, the part that I live in is not considered instate, so I'm am out of state. My ACT score is about a 28, which meets the requirement but is not the average 30. Everything else is very well solid. I'm just getting worried that because of my ACT score, I won't even be considered for an interview. any thoughts?

just got back. i loved the school! the tour just made me want to go there more. i was the only person who interviewd today so my day was very fast paced and i didn't get to hang out with the third years, that was kind of sad. but overall great! i can't wait to go back.

tiedyetbi, did you take some pics? if you can send it to me
